The computer is composed of software and hardware. The components of a computer usually fall in the category of the computer hardware. The computer components usually are the physical parts of a computer. The computer components include the digital circuitry. The computer components are infrequently changed. The computer hardware is found in many devices like the MP3 players, automobiles, electrocardiograph machines and other such devices. The personal computer that we see is only a small section of all computers.

The Motherboard consists of the Central Processing Unit, the Random Access Memory, etc. These are the common PC parts. There are storage controllers for hard disk. There is the video display controller. There are removable media devices, which consist of the DVD-ROM drives, and CD-ROM drives. There are many different types of computer monitors. The most common types of computer monitors are the cathode ray tube. There is also the liquid crystal display type of monitors. There are many criteria based on which the types of computer monitors are classified. These criteria happen to be the size, the resolution, the dot pitch, the aspect ratio, etc. The computer monitors are different based on their performance.
