Mobile handsets

Whenever we talk about the cell phone industry, one name keeps coming up, and that of course is the mobile manufacturing giant Nokia. Considering their highly successful N series venture, at a time when no other cell phone maker was near the competition radar in the context of multi media phones, one thing that will strike you is that since the bringing out of the N95, the newer phones really do not leave much to talk about. Given that Nokia had brought out N70s in their N series that had lesser range than the N90 series, but their decision of bridging a certain gap (perceived by them) in the form of other N series phones really leaves no reason to bring out further N series phones. The N80 series was supposedly more pumped up as to the mobile entertainment features, but surely, the N95 has not disappointed us in those quarters earlier on.

When it comes to other mobile handset makers who make enticing phones4U, including Sony Ericsson, and Motorola, among others, their consistent approaches to lure larger number of people into buying their multi media handsets have not entirely turned out to be disappointing ventures. Sony Ericsson’s Walkman phones appealed to the younger lot, with a cool music version of their multimedia phones. Motorola’s Razor series was topped with the recent Razor2, which was even sleeker, and deadlier than the original version, with fantastic multimedia applications. Sony Ericsson’s take on the PDA business phone segment was encapsulated in the launch of their high-end multimedia phones, but somehow this segment belongs solely to Blackberry.
